ERASMUS+ FOODTR Project - “INCREASING FOOD LITERACY COMPETENCIES OF ADULTS”
The aim of FOODTR project is to improve food-related skills and competencies of target groups (consumers, parents, housewives, retired people, policy makers, etc.) by developing innovative and coherent digital training materials and performing promotive activities. The project will be a solution to the problem among adults in partner countries lacking qualifications concerning changed food environment. Evidence demonstrates a reduction in food and nutrition knowledge and skills in the general population, contributing to serious public health concerns that include obesity and other nutrition-related chronic diseases. Also, limited food-related skills to be able to prepare healthy and safe meals stays people away from present job opportunities (e.g. a food business from home).
Food safety and hygiene guide will be prepared by SZE. "Seminar on Food Safety and Hygiene" will be organised by Széchenyi István University in Hungary to disseminate the „Food Safety and Hygiene Guide".
